Professional Supervision

Purpose

We provide clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists as part of the legally mandated hours required to receive professional accreditation.

While these hours of supervision are required by mental health practitioners to maintain professional competence, they are also an invaluable resource for individuals working in other therapeutic and caregiving disciplines.

Professionals such as nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, body therapists, speech pathologists, midwives, doulas, and health professionals working in welfare and drug and alcohol services can benefit from engaging in supervision for their personal and professional development.

Supervision is a collaborative process between supervisor and supervisee that aims to guide, develop and support individuals in their clinical or professional role.

Approach

It is a reflective process where together we explore your practice, client presentation and various therapeutic tools while referring back to the literature and evidence base. This offers an opportunity to acquire a new perspective and skills which may be utilised in your day-to-day profession.

Reflective practice through supervision tends to individuals’ self-care and service delivery while encouraging professional development and maintenance of ethical standards.

At Hue, we refer to engaging in this type of practice as providing a ‘conscious service’

If you are interested in clinical supervision, or are a professional working in the therapeutic or caregiving space, we offer supervision and training that can help you navigate the more complex aspects of your role, supporting you and to thrive, consciously.
