My name is Anna Sørensen Rask—a Danish/Polish psychologist with a Master’s degree in Psychology from Aarhus University. I offer therapy in both Danish and English, supporting individuals and couples in navigating emotional challenges, building deeper connections, and exploring personal growth.
My main area of experience is couples therapy, where I help partners move from disconnection to closeness through Emotion Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). I’m currently in the process of becoming certified in EFT, and will receive my Authorization as a Psychologist in Denmark this summer.
Alongside my work with couples, I’ve worked in a range of settings—from supporting socially disadvantaged individuals at a Danish NGO, to teaching psychology in high school, assisting university students with psychological disabilities, and working as a psychologist in a boarding school. These experiences have shaped my approach and deepened my respect for each person’s unique story.
I’m fascinated by the human mind and the role relationships play in our emotional well-being. As Sue Johnson beautifully puts it: "Suffering is inevitable, but suffering alone is intolerable." I strive to create a safe, validating space where you don’t have to face things alone.
Anna's Approach
My therapeutic foundation is grounded in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), which emphasizes the role of emotions in shaping our sense of self and our relationships. EFT offers a deeply compassionate and structured way to explore emotional experiences and transform patterns that no longer serve us. In EFT couple therapy, we work together on rebuilding trust, improving communication, repairing ruptures in the relationship, and creating a more secure and fulfilling relationship—where both of you feel seen, supported, and valued.
My main framework is Emotion Focused Therapy, but I also integrate other methods depending on the need of the client:
Emotion Focused Therapy - helps us explore the emotions that shape our patterns of connection and disconnection, making space for deeper understanding, healing, and closeness in the relationship with ourselves or with others.
Psychodynamic Therapy – to understand how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence current struggles.
Existential Therapy – to explore themes of meaning, identity, and choice in the face of life’s uncertainties.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – to support practical change through awareness of thoughts, behaviours, and coping strategies.
Holistic Practices - integrating the connection between mind and body.
I prioritise creating a safe, respectful space where you can explore what matters most at your own pace. I will meet you where you are – and the same time not leave you there, but help you get closer to where you want to be.

- Grief and loss – Processing the pain of losing someone or something significant, and making space for healing and meaning.
- Relocation and cultural transitions – Navigating the emotional impact of moving between cultures, adjusting to new environments, and finding belonging.
- Trauma and emotional pain – Working through difficult or distressing experiences at a pace that feels safe and respectful, and restoring a sense of security.
- Improving relationship dynamics – Exploring patterns in your closest relationships, building communication skills, and fostering deeper connection
- Navigating identity and major life transitions – Exploring who you are, who you’re becoming, and how to move through periods of change with intention and care.
